While the outside world seemed threatening and uncertain,

my home became even more my sanctuary during the pandemic. With a sense of increased gratefulness for the beauty of my “things", the textiles, a quilt from Paris, porcelain cups from Austria,

my mother’s embroideries, collectibles from my travels...I am aware of their own intrinsic stories and how their presence affects the experience I have of life. The resulting little paintings show moments of unassuming intimacy amidst the daily trivia of my life.
